In this we are going to discuss how to open the receivables periods in oracle cloud/fusion. In order to perform any transaction in a period, that period must be in open
state. You can enter transaction in future periods, but you can’t post them.
Entering the transaction and posting them is only allowed in an open period. Whenever we create a transaction or a receipt in receivables we have to enter the creation date and accounting date hence it becomes very important that we open the periods otherwise system will not allow you to create the transaction. Step 1: Home > Receivables >Account Receivables

Step 2: Task Pane > Manage Accounting periods to open the
period in oracle receivables
How to open receivables periods in oracle cloud
Step 3: Select Application as Receivables and click on BU
for which you want to open the receivables period

Step 4: Select the ledger and then select the period which you
want to open. Click Open period
Step 5: You will receive a notification saying request has
been submitted.
Step 6: Click on refresh. You will see your receivables period is opened.
